Jymni Ethics Advisor Terms of Service

Effective date: August 11, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Jymni Ethics Advisor mobile app, Studio web app, shared evaluation pages, and related website. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the app provider, and "you" refers to the person or organization using the app or website.

By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. App purpose

Jymni Ethics Advisor is a personal ethics decision-support tool that uses a third-party cloud AI service. It helps users think through everyday choices involving relationships, promises, boundaries, honesty, fairness, consent, care, power, likely harm, and practical wisdom using the Jymni Guide.

The app is intended to support reflection and better decision-making. It is not a crisis service and does not provide legal, medical, mental-health, financial, safety, compliance, or other professional advice. Every output requires human judgment. A confidence label, score, classification, citation, reviewer decision, or workspace status does not turn an AI-assisted result into a professional determination.

2. Limited license

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for lawful personal, educational, or internal evaluation purposes.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, interfere with, or create unauthorized derivative works from the app, its interface, or its content except where applicable law expressly allows it.

You may not use robots, automated extraction tools, scraping, prompt-extraction techniques, or similar methods to collect, reproduce, or exploit the app or its outputs in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. User inputs and outputs

You are responsible for the prompts, situations, personal information, and other material you enter. Do not include names, addresses, account numbers, private communications, medical details, or other information that could identify you or another person unless you have the right and a sound reason to process it.

Your prompt is sent to a third-party cloud AI service and may be subject to that provider's terms, privacy policies, and service behavior. Do not use the app for confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive information unless you have determined that cloud processing is appropriate.

The app may produce incomplete, incorrect, biased, inconsistent, or unexpected output. Independently verify important facts and seek qualified help for high-stakes situations. You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken after using app output.

4. Shared evaluation links

Studio may let account holders create expiring share links for read-only evaluation snapshots. The creator can choose public access, signed-in-user access, or access limited to members of a selected workspace. These controls reduce casual exposure but do not guarantee confidentiality. You are responsible for deciding whether an evaluation is appropriate to share and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to share the submitted use case, Studio context, saved-evaluation name, generated output, and any related information shown in the snapshot.

Do not create or distribute shared links that contain confidential, regulated, sensitive personal, proprietary, or third-party information unless you are authorized to make that information available to every permitted viewer. Expiration or revocation may stop future access through our service, but it does not undo access that already occurred and does not delete copies, screenshots, downloads, messages, posts, or other redistributions made by viewers.

Shared evaluation output remains informational only. It is not legal, medical, mental-health, financial, safety, ethical, or other professional advice, and you may not present it as a final professional determination or as our endorsement of a choice.

5. Prohibited uses

You may not use the app to violate law or third-party rights; promote unlawful, deceptive, abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually exploitative, or harmful conduct; impersonate others; generate spam, harassment, trolling, abusive content, or intentionally misleading material; misrepresent the app output as a final legal or professional determination; interfere with app operation or security; or attempt to bypass restrictions, extract proprietary assets, or misuse Google Play or other distribution mechanisms.

6. Third-party services

If you install the app through Google Play, Google Play may deliver app components to your device. The app sends prompts directly to a third-party cloud AI service. Google Play, the cloud AI service, and your device platform may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control those third-party services.

The app requires cloud processing for responses. If the cloud AI service or internet access is unavailable, the app may be unable to complete an evaluation.

6A. Credits, checkout, and billing

Some Studio actions use evaluation credits. The interface displays the applicable credit cost before or with the action. Credits are service units, have no cash value, are not transferable unless we expressly allow it, and may be subject to plan, expiration, abuse-prevention, or account limits.

When secure checkout is available, payment is handled by a third-party checkout provider. We may grant purchased credits only after receiving a valid provider confirmation. Duplicate confirmations are fulfilled once. Studio may display order history and a receipt link supplied by the payment provider. Failed AI operations are intended to release or refund reserved credits, but you should contact us if your ledger appears incorrect.

Trial or support credits are a limited, manually reviewed exception and are not guaranteed. We may require a reason and intended-use information, limit requests to low-balance accounts, impose request caps and cooldowns, approve a different amount, decline a request, or restrict the request path to specified support, evaluation-error, nonprofit or educational, beta, demo, or sales-trial circumstances.

Prices, taxes, included credits, renewal terms, refund rights, and cancellation rights shown at checkout or in an order-specific agreement control that transaction. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.

6B. Workspaces and review decisions

Workspace owners and admins can add existing account holders, invite people by email, revoke pending invitations, and assign workspace roles, subject to seat limits and other plan or service controls. A secure invitation must be accepted by an account using the invited email address. If email delivery is unavailable, the authorized inviter may receive the acceptance link and is responsible for delivering it only to the intended recipient.

Reviewers and other authorized members may see workspace evaluations, policies, comments, assignments, decisions, and credit-pool availability. Workspace owners may choose to have workspace AI activity draw from the owner's credit balance; personal activity remains separately billed. Owners are responsible for authorizing pooled-credit use and monitoring the available balance.

Workspace owners and admins may export an audit history covering membership, invitation, policy, review, sharing, comment, and billing-control events. Audit history is an operational record and may not contain every user action or the full content of prompts and comments. You are responsible for granting appropriate access and for removing or changing access when a person's responsibilities change.

A submitted, approved, or otherwise reviewed evaluation is a workflow record only. It is not our certification, endorsement, professional clearance, or guarantee that the underlying choice is ethical, wise, lawful, or safe.

7. Intellectual property

The app, text, interface, design, documentation, trademarks, service marks, and other content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may create a hyperlink to publicly available pages about the app or related website so long as the link is not false, misleading, derogatory, offensive, or damaging. You may not use our logos, trademarks, or proprietary graphics without prior written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or available at all times. App operation may depend on internet access, cloud AI service availability, operating system version, and Google Play services.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Enforcement

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the app or related services if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the app, created risk for others, or violated applicable law.

10. Decision support, no professional advice, and assumption of risk

The app's verdicts, scores, and evaluations are AI-assisted decision-support outputs. They do not represent objective moral truths, legal standards, diagnoses, professional ethical audits, or automatic approval to act.

The app does not replace a lawyer, clinician, therapist, financial professional, emergency service, safeguarding professional, or trusted person who understands the full situation. Use of the app does not create an advisor-client, clinician-patient, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

Personal decisions can involve serious and sometimes irreversible risks. You are responsible for actions taken after using the app. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, usefulness, or "correctness" of any evaluation, score, verdict, or other output.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, uninterrupted operation, and any warranty that the app's evaluations will be complete, correct, or suitable for your intended use.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we, the developers, and the owners of the app will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, business interruption, reputational harm, legal action, or decisions made in reliance on app output, resulting from your use of or reliance on the app or its content.

13. Contact

For support or legal inquiries, use the developer contact mechanism listed in the Google Play Store listing for Jymni Ethics Advisor or the contact mechanism available through the Jymni Ethics Advisor website.
